We know that the best fit for this specialized care is finding caregivers who have a lot of heart. The special souls who work in the Bunch-Woodview Memory Support neighborhood seem to have an extra helping of compassion, an overflow of patience and a deep passion for connecting the elder to meaningful experiences each day. The building is well designed, the programs are excellent, but at the end of the day, it’s the people who make the Bunch-Woodview Memory Support neighborhood such a special part of Cornerstone. Come meet our team and feel the difference.
Open space, safe exploring.
Our residents live safely and happily in their new neighborhood, specifically designed to help them feel secure yet encouraged to explore via its open layout and accessible outdoors. This is a setting rich with encouraging activities and sensory stimulating therapy, all in a soothing environment where certified nurses and staff assist with daily activities and support each individual’s independence.
Making today a good day.
A resident’s typical day might include a walk in the secured memory garden, sensory games, a roundtable discussion, and even baking cookies as if in the comfort of their own home. Family members are welcomed and encouraged to participate in activities and care that might elicit connection to familiar experiences and improve quality of life. The atmosphere is calming; the physical, emotional and spiritual care is real; and despite natural frustrations, the focus is simply on enjoying each day.
Offering respite relief for caregivers.
Families who provide caregiving at home can enjoy a break of a day, overnight or even a few days at a time, confident that their loved one is well cared for in a safe, enriching environment. If you’re considering placing your loved one with us and you live nearby, 2-3 short stays of at least overnight will enable us to prepare a residency plan and ensure that our Memory Support is the right fit for your loved one.

MUSIC & MEMORY ®
It’s proven that by calming chaotic brain activity and improving focus, music can connect with those with dementia, helping them to reconnect. That’s why we’ve made Music & Memory an integral part of our Memory Support program. Join us for classes, and learn how music can relax and focus your loved one as it quickly makes a bad day better.
keeping the mind active
As Alzheimer’s is a progressive disease, continual stimulation is key to keeping the mind active. Consequently, the team regularly administers memory stimulation exercises, helping our residents by practicing a multitude of sensory stimulation activities, including daily devotions, storytelling, brain teasers and memory trigger games. We aim to “shake loose a memory” with each activity. Our caregivers are part of these activities, encouraging social engagement and promoting a sense of belonging to the community. Not only does it help our residents, but it’s a gift to our team. When our residents flourish, we know we’re taking the right steps to ensure the best possible quality care.
